中秋節“ (zhōngqiū jié) - Moon Festival

Hi There!
大家好 （dàjiā hǎo）

Moon Festival / Mid Autumn Festival is just around the corner.
I thought it's a good idea sharing some vocabulary about one of my favorite holidays.


So Moon Festival or Mid Autumn Festival is
"中秋節“ (zhōngqiū jié), literally meaning 
mid  autumn festival

So on this lovely special holiday, people in Taiwan visit their family, and it is also 
considered as an important holiday for family reunion.

Here are some things we do on 中秋節

1. 送禮 sònglǐ  -- give presents (to friends and family) 

2. 吃月餅 chī yuèbǐng -- eating moon cake

3. 烤肉 kǎoròu -- to barbecue

Day : Every Wednesday

Time : 12:00 – 2:00 pm

Number of Students : 2-4 people

Teacher: Katrina Lee

Textbook: 

Chinese Master + supplementary material from teacher Lee

Duration : 20 hours (Starting from Oct. 7^th)

Class level : Total Beginner

Location : either in our classroom (7mins walk from Hsinchu train station) or I can go to students’ office (near GuanXin Road) for teaching

Fee : 8300 per person

(including a textbook and all supplementary materials)

HSK 3 ( Category – Intro to Chinese – Page 10)

In this lesson, you will learn the usage of 怎麼樣 (zěnme yang) and it means “how’s……?”

For example, you’re asking people, how’s your Chinese? How’s the weather in Taiwan?...etc.

By using the “How’s …?” structure, you will be able to create many different question sentences asking people’s thoughts and feelings on a certain subject.
